What is the Enneagram?
The Enneagram is a great tool to empower people from any sphere of society, from family life to working environment. This soft skill is truly an asset for personal transformation as it aims at change. By learning about our motives and perceptions, we discover the 9 different types (see below) and visions of how to better relate to others. The objective of the Enneagram is self-understanding and also understanding others, improving relationships, building teams and spiritual growth.
What’s the best possible outcome of finding your Enneagram type?
Your Enneagram type will reveal your motive, strength and fixation of your personality. It will also show how you behave when in a situation of stress or of relaxation.
…and what can be the best thing resulting from that?
Knowing where you stand will help develop your “inner observant” and by doing so you will be in a better position to name your behavior and change your reaction to avoid pitfalls. Your personality type is a way to protect yourself and at the same time it limits you to see adequately all aspects of a situation.
…and what will be the outcome of that?
With practice and awareness, you will become a better version of yourself and will gain a better understanding of others and their personality type.
As a parent, you will relate to your spouse and children seeing their perspective.
As a career professional, you will develop higher emotional intelligence and improve your interaction with other team members.
As a boss or leader, you will increase your interpersonal abilities with your employees, peers, superiors and with everyone in general using a wider vision and comprehension of individual in all 9 personality types.
It’s a WIN/WIN situation as you have more to gain from becoming better relationally and allowing your true self to unfold as God intended you to be.
